Description

The Diversified Analog Solutions team located in Woburn, MA is the design center for semiconductor solutions that enable wireless communication across a broad range of end markets and applications. We have a challenging opportunity for a University Student available for a 6-month work term (June 2025 to Dec 2025). The successful university student (candidate) will report to a senior engineering mentor assigned to them. As a co-op you will be primarily working in the Woburn Analytical Lab doing design characterization, failure analysis, and competitive analysis. You will interact with multiple teams of engineers and experience multiple aspects of the product design process. During this co-op you will utilize a variety of simulation, measurement, and analytical tools to accomplish tasks.

Responsibilities


  • Electrical characterization of RF product designs and semiconductor devices



  • Thermal characterization of designs utilizing IR microscopy



  • Destructive and non-destructive failure analysis



  • Deconstruction and analysis of reference designs for competitive analysis



  • Analysis of measurement data and presentation to engineering teams



Required Experience and Skills


  • Must be currently enrolled in an electrical engineering program with emphasis on IC and/or RF design.



  • Able to commit as a Summer/Fall Co-op



  • Motivated and inquisitive. The position will require innovative and critical thinking



  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.



  • Familiar with fundamental concepts, transistor operation, and general IC design



  • Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint



The typical pay range for an Engineering intern across the U.S. is currently USD $26.00 - $47.50 per hour and for a Non-Engineering intern across the U.S. is currently USD $22.50 - $42.00 per hour. Starting pay will depend on level of education, the ultimate job duties and requirements, and work location. Skyworks has different pay ranges for different work locations in the U.S.
