Position Summary

We are seeking a Front Desk Assistant to join our team at Huntington Place in Brooklyn Park, MN! The Front Desk Assistant will deliver a high level of customer service and reception support to the main office at Huntington Place and will be regarded as the "Director of First Impressions" to our residents, staff, housing applicants, vendors, and community members. This position requires unmatched customer service and someone who thrives in a customer-centric, fast-paced environment. The Front Desk Assistant reports to the Community Manager.

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:




  • Resident/Property Relations: Respond to resident, vendor and management needs, issues, or problems. Duties may include answering phones and responding to voicemail and email messages, entering maintenance requests, granting access as needed, attending community meetings as needed and responding to emergencies.
  • Office/Administrative Support: Support the site office by being present during property office hours, answering telephone, filing, sorting mail, maintaining office equipment, ordering office supplies, referring residents, providing accurate rental information, and giving access to vendors/contractors.



Skills & Qualifications



  • Recent face-to-face customer service with reception and administrative support experience is strongly preferred.
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills, exceptional phone etiquette, and an ability to engage in interpersonal communication that is culturally responsive, ensuring consideration for differing needs and expectations is required.
  • Ability to apply effective time management and self-management skills in a busy work environment; ability to meet follow-through on tasks despite regular interruptions.
  • Solid and proven work ethic with the ability to work independently and on a team.
  • Ability to identify and resolve problems effectively, seeking appropriate resources as needed.
  • Must have a commitment to learning and participating in Aeon's diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts.
  • Must be a resourceful problem solver with an attention to details and a seeker of excellence who values results, hard work, customer service, and loyalty to Aeon's mission.
  • Physical Requirements:

    • Ability to lift up to 10lbs.
    • Ability to reach above and below the shoulders.
    • Ability to sit and stand for extended periods of time.
    • Ability to complete daily tours between properties including but not limited to inspecting grounds, hallways, stairwell, and apartment homes.
    • Ability to file, open and close file drawers, and enter data into a computer for extended periods of time.
    • Ability to withstand external weather conditions.





Compensation, Hours & Location

This position pays $20-$22/hr and offers an impressive benefit package that includes medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term and long-term disability, retirement plan, paid time off and an employee assistance program. This full-time position offers mostly weekday, daytime hours. Typical work schedules are Monday-Friday 8:30am-5pm, but there is some flexibility in these hours to accommodate the needs of the position, property, and team. Variations to this schedule may occur for planned resident and community events and meetings. This is an in-person position and will office mostly out of Huntington Place's main office. Occasional work at Aeon's Central Office, training facilities and other properties will occur from time to time.
