Senior HVAC Technician Lead

Tessera is seeking a driven and collaborative HVAC Technician Lead with a can-do attitude. Typical duties include but are not limited to:
- Installation, repairs and troubleshooting HVAC malfunctions.
- Performing preventative maintenance on heating, ventilation, and air conditioning equipment.
- Utilizing wire diagrams, schematics, blueprints, and drawings to perform repairs and maintenance.
- Installing and cleaning air and water filters.
- Installs and programs thermostats.
- Fabricates, assembles, and installs ductwork and chassis parts.
- Responsible to connect motors, compressors, temperature controls, and circulating ventilation fans to control panels and connect control panels to power source.
- Coach, mentor, and address employee concerns in a respectful manner.
- Responsible to provide feedback to the supervisor/manager on work related issues involving performance and attendance.
- Working on chiller systems 50 tons or greater.
Qualifications:
- Must be able to prioritize tasks and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be able to provide customer service in a professional and courteous manner.
- Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Must have civilian or military trade school training or equivalent.
Physical Requirements: Employees must have the ability to perform the following physical demands for extended periods of time with or without assistance. The physical demands of this position may be reasonably accommodated for individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions on a case-by-case basis.
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 70 pounds.
- May be required to reach, kneel, walk, stand, and use repetitive motion for several hours at a time based on position duties.
- Work may require repetitive motion, reaching, lifting, kneeling, and walking. Standing or sitting for several hours at a time, climbing in and out of a vehicle, and up and down stairs may also be required.
- Must have the perseverance to work effectively under pressure for extended periods of time.
Requirements:
- A valid state driver's license is required with the ability to obtain and maintain coverage by Tessera insurance.
- HVAC and/or EPA Certification is required.
- After-hours on-call availability is a requirement.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain applicable security clearances and installation access. A background check and E-Verify will be conducted for this position.
