The Zions Bancorporation Factoring group is seeking an experienced Factoring Manager who has good operational and risk management experience to manage and help grow an existing portfolio.

Our group specializes in the financial service of factoring to enable companies to obtain working capital and help them grow, provide employment, and strong members of their communities. The department assesses the creditworthiness of the businesses' customers, determining the potential risks and benefits associated with purchasing the receivables. Through these services, the factoring lender department plays a crucial role in supporting business liquidity, fostering growth, and enhancing overall financial stability.

Ideal candidates will have the skills and experience necessary to:

  • Responsible for strategic direction of the Asset Based Factoring operational side of the business.
  • Responsible for risk management and monitoring of the Factoring department.
  • Responsible for the development of the Managers and staff.
  • Clear understanding of all aspects of the operational tasks associated with Factoring.
  • Works with the Relationship Managers, Special Assets Group and legal council on workouts.
  • Review activity reports, approve transactions related to fundings and collections, advise and approve exceptions on transactions and confirm reconcilements.
  • Review and make recommendations for changes to policies and procedures which will promote better risk management and efficiencies for the department.
  • Responsible to hire, fire, counsel and conduct performance evaluations.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Qualifications:

  • Requires a Bachelors degree in finance or a related field and
  • 8+ years experience with factoring, operations or other directly related experience.
  • Requires supervisory or management experience.
  • A combination of education and experience may meet requirements.
  • Expert knowledge of factoring operations, processes, procedures, credits, laws and regulations.
  • Excellent problem solving, analysis and reconcilement skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent management, organizational, accountability and adaptability skills. Ability to train and coach employees.
  • Broad application factoring principles, theories, concepts, and techniques.
  • Ability to monitor credits.
  • Knowledge of Word, Excel and Factoring software applications
