As the General Manager at Wolfgang Puck Catering, you'll oversee the innovative dining services at the Houston Space Center, where culinary creativity meets cutting-edge science. Imagine crafting unique dishes using liquid nitrogen at action stations while ensuring every meal is a delightful experience. With plans to expand and build a new facility by 2028, this is your chance to be part of a growing enterprise that values both show-stopping presentations and mouth-watering flavors. Key Responsibilities: Demonstrate expertise in all aspects of foodservice management with a proven track record of success. Ensure the operation meets all service timelines and other deadlines established by management and/or clients. Oversee all financial aspects including planning, budget development, analysis, and financial reporting. Maintain proactive and positive interactions with a diverse group of associates, peers, managers, suppliers, clients, and customers. Show initiative and good judgment in assisting customers, clients, peers, and subordinates. Conduct regular management meetings to ensure smooth operations. Quickly and accurately evaluate problems and make appropriate recommendations. Audit units to ensure compliance with company, government, and accrediting agency standards, regulations, and codes regarding food storage, preparation, sanitation, and record keeping. Hire, train, and orient new management associates. Preferred Qualifications: B.S. Degree in Food Services Management or related field; or A.A. Degree plus five to seven years of directly related experience. Minimum of five years of operational foodservice management experience, flexible depending upon formal degree or training. Strong knowledge of food and catering trends with a focus on quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, marketing, and presentation. Experience with P&L accountability and contract-managed service. Preferred experience in managing multiple units. Experience with cash retail operations and retail marketing. Strong supervisory, leadership, management, and coaching skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Understanding of financial, budgetary, accounting, and computational practices. Proficient computer skills including various computer programs, Microsoft Office, email, and the Internet. Apply to Wolfgang Puck today!
