Position Overview

The primary roles and responsibilities of the General Utility are to assist in the production of cartwheels (turning the parent roll of paper into cartwheels/slit stock rolls for paper tubing).


Responsibilities

  • Operate heavy equipment including forklift, mono crane, baler, scale and stretch wrapping machine and chainsaw
  • Work in a team environment
  • Provide leadership to maintain and improve safe working conditions and maintaining good housekeeping practices.
  • Punctuality and attendance are extremely important to the success of the operations in general as well as contributing to an overall positive team atmosphere


Qualifications

  • The ability to tolerate heat and humidity while performing manual labor task
  • The ability to clearly and effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
  • The ability to understand and follow, operating and safe job procedures
  • The ability to pass the Power Industrial Truck licensing requirements
  • The ability to perform all of the physical requirements of the job including lifting up to 75lbs
