Job Summary:

The ShopUW+ Lead will play a critical role in support of the Universities of Wisconsin transition to Workday Enterprise with go-live scheduled for July 1, 2025. This position will also provide leadership for the ongoing maintenance and business continuous improvement for the supplier and contracting platform, Jaggaer, known to the UW as ShopUW+, following the go- live transition. This position will provide support of operational alignment of resources and technology solutions to Universities of Wisconsin business needs and initiatives.

This position will be the primary point of expertise for Jaggaer. The Universities of Wisconsin will use Jaggaer for contracts and supplier records, with integrations to/from Workday to support a sandwich model design for procurement. The position will be responsible for supporting the configuration of processes, security, reports and other system functionality as well as troubleshoots and responds to issues reported by customers for cross-business functionality and processes for Jaggaer. In addition to supporting ongoing operations, this individual will also participate in efforts to enhance and expand the functionality and user experience with a focus on continuous improvement. This person may also serve as a lead for lower-level IT staff providing guidance on specific project goals, outcomes, and technological components as well as developing and identifying opportunities for new staff training opportunities.

This individual intentionally collaborates with peers across the Universities of Wisconsin to form a cohesive and well- functioning leadership team. Schedule will be determined with the selected finalist upon hire.

Primary schedule will be during business hours on Monday through Friday, beginning no later than 9:00AM CST and ending no earlier than 3:00PM CST, with an on-call or weekend rotation as required by the department.


Responsibilities:
Leads and/or directs, recommends, designs, troubleshoots, and maintains Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems to support the business operations of the institution. Leads or directs system analysis, strategy development, and provides training and technical guidance to less experienced staff to support ERP systems. Resolves the most complex problems independently or by guiding team members. Acts as principal contact or lead for development of technical solutions within application and database management infrastructure. Leads analysis and stakeholder engagement for new and ongoing functionality. May supervise, coordinate workload, or mentor other staff.

  • 20% Troubleshoots hardware, software, and system problems that involve ERP system-wide functionality
  • 15% Plans, coordinates, and implements system-wide updates, upgrades, and patches for ERP systems
  • 15% Recommends and participates in the implementation of ERP system enhancements or changes that may involve custom design, optional, and third-party products
  • 10% Creates and updates access permissions and maintains user accounts to maintain ERP systems security through user profile management
  • 5% Designs, configures, monitors, and maintains performance metrics for system features and recommends and takes corrective/preventive actions
  • 20% Participates in the design, development, and implementation of test and production objects. Defines user requirements and performs configuration, change management, and testing activities
  • 10% Assists in serving as the liaison representing interests to internal and external stakeholders
  • 5% Assists management team by advising on enterprise information technology operations and business models

Qualifications:

Required qualifications:
1. Three+ years of experience with workflow-driven processes.
2. Three+ years of experience providing customer service in some capacity.
3. Strong problem-solving skills, including the ability to diagnose and solve complex issues within ERP systems.
4. High level of comfort working with, and adjusting to changes in, different software solutions while managing competing priorities
5. Ability to establish and maintain strong working relationships with peers, customers and stakeholders.
6. Exceptional communication and presentation skills with a proven ability to document business requirements, functional specifications, and user materials

Preferred Qualifications:
1. Three+ years of business analyst type experience in a procure to pay platform, such as Jaggaer
2. Ability to prioritize work across team members to ensure deadlines are met and production issues are resolved in a timely manner
3. Ability to effectively collaborate and coordinate in a remote work environment

It is anticipated this position will be remote and requires work be performed at an offsite, non-campus work location.

Well qualified applicants can expect to earn between $118,010 - $140,150 with final salary based on experience and qualifications


Additional Information:

Schedule will be determined with the selected finalist upon hire. Primary schedule will be during business hours on Monday through Friday between the hours of 7:00am - 6:00pm, with an on-call or weekend rotation as required by the department.
