Responsible for providing financial planning and analysis support to the Aerospace Systems business unit and AS finance leadership team. The position will support management in preparing and coordinating all financial data requirements such as the Annual Operating Plan, Budgets, Current year forecast, and ad hoc analyses. Partners with operational leadership and program support departments to address all matters of financial consolidation and reporting. This is a high-visibility position as a direct report and advisor to the BU CFO. Frequent interaction with many levels and functional departments within the company is expected.

Key Responsibilities:



  • Responsible for financial reporting preparation and consolidation to include coordination between the finance operations team and operational leadership.
  • Develop and maintain Excel models to facilitate effective monthly and quarterly financial reporting.
  • Responsible for documenting and coordinating variance analysis explanations.
  • Analyze trends and metrics to develop automated solutions and process improvements for the financial reporting process.
  • Drives consistency in financial reporting processes by proposing best practices across programs.
  • Responsible for ad hoc analysis, preparation, and coordination for both finance and operational leadership.
  • Coordinate internal and external audit requests with the finance operations team.
  • Month-end close for portfolio of programs, including the project controls.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.


Minimum Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance or an equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and job skills can be obtained.
  • 5 years of Accounting/Finance experience.
  • Experience working in defense/government contract accounting is preferred.
  • US Citizenship required

  • Expertise in Excel, PowerPoint, and related financial applications.
  • Demonstrated ability to multitask and work under tight deadlines.
  • Personal computer, printer, copy machine, and other general office equipment.
  • Communication skills:


    • Ability to summarize complex data and articulate clear takeaway messages for senior leaders
    • Ability to communicate with confidence with many levels of the org up through senior leadership
    • Self-confidence to speak up and drive behaviors without formal authority



  • Highly organized, self-manages their own tasks to achieve required deadlines. Ability to triage, prioritize, and re-prioritize in an environment of competing requirements/deadlines

  • The following salary range is intended to display the value of the company's base pay compensation and may be modified at the discretion of the company.


    • USD $ 70,000 - $120,000
