Position: Consumer Real Estate Loan Processor/Closer II | Division: Residential Real Estate Lending| Work Days: Monday - Friday| Hours of Operation: 8:00am - 5:00pm

Position Overview: The Consumer Real Estate Loan Processor/Closer II is responsible for processing consumer real estate loan closings in accordance with bank policies, regulations, and approved loan terms. This role coordinates with document processors, borrowers, banking center personnel, and title companies to ensure timely and efficient consumer real estate closings. Additional responsibilities include ordering title searches/title commitments, flood certificates, and evaluations/appraisals on all consumer real estate loans. This position assists other areas of the mortgage department with knowledge of real estate lending and servicing and acts as a leader in the consumer real estate processing/closing function. Essential Functions:
- Analyze approved home equity, home equity lines of credit, and home improvement loans for outstanding exceptions, documentation (required disclosure forms, property insurance, etc.), and outside vendor services (title search, title commitment, appraisal, flood determination) required to prepare the loan for closing. Ensure compliance with bank policy and regulations.
- Coordinate loan closings with the appropriate banking center/title company.
- Complete a closing worksheet, clear up any outstanding items, and deliver the file to the document preparer in time to meet the closing schedule.
- Ensure delivery of pre-disclosure to the borrower as required by state statute.
- Prepare and send closing instructions for title company closings. Approve HUD/ Closing Disclosure and deliver loan documents to the title company for closing.
- Order and track appraisals
for, lot loans, home equity, and home improvement loans. - Order and track flood certificates on all home equity and home improvement loans.
- Order and follow up on
title searches or title commitments on home equity, home improvement loans and lot loans. Update tracking information in the consumer loan origination system. - Ability to take inbound calls and make outbound
calls to Customers, Vendors and Bank Partners. - Assist others within the Mortgage Department on various real estate-related matters including closing, funding, and servicing.
- Perform additional duties as required.
- This position may require travel within the Bank's geographic area.
Experience & Education:
- 3 years of experience with
real estate loan documentation, including a thorough knowledge of lending-related laws, regulations, terminology, filing requirements, perfection of security interests, and types of borrowers. - Proficient knowledge of Consumer Real Estate loan documentation and applicable compliance regulations.
- Strong organizational skills with an aptitude for detail and follow-up, and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.'
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of loan documentation and compliance courses.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience with bank core processing systems and mortgage loan origination systems.
- Ability to analyze and resolve issues related to loan documentation and compliance.
- Strong interpersonal skills for effective communication with borrowers, banking center personnel, and title companies.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in processing and reviewing loan documents.
- Understanding of state statutes and regulations pertaining to loan disclosures.
- Capability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities in the consumer real estate processing/closing function.
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and integrity of borrower information.]

- Requires the ability to lift, carry, push, pull weights or otherwise move objects weighing as much as 10 lbs. on a regular basis and/or for extended periods of time during the workday.
