Genesis10 is currently seeking an Application Architect with our client in the financial industry located in Charlotte, NC, Pennington, NJ, and Plano, TX. This is a 12+ month contract position. Responsibilities: Lead the design and implementation of interactive dashboards and visualizations that effectively communicate data insights to diverse audiences Oversee the development of best practices for data visualization, ensuring consistency, accessibility, and user-centric design Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand their data needs and translate them into impactful visual solutions Mentor and develop team members, foster a culture of continuous learning and innovation in data visualization techniques Evaluate and introduce new tools and technologies to enhance the data visualization capabilities of the organization Conduct regular review sessions with stakeholders to assess the effectiveness of visualizations and iterate based on feedback Requirements: 5+ years of experience in data visualization or analytics, with a strong portfolio showcasing your work Proficiency in data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms Strong understanding of data storytelling principles and the ability to convey complex information in a clear and engaging manner Experience with Oracle/SQL or other querying languages to extract and manipulate data Demonstrated leadership experience, including mentoring and managing teams Desired skills: Master's degree in a related field (e.g., Data Science, Statistics, or Design) Experience with programming languages such as Python or R for data analysis Familiarity with data engineering concepts and ETL processes Knowledge of user experience (UX) design principles Experience working in a hybrid work environment Advanced proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, D3.js) Strong SQL skills for data extraction and transformation Familiarity with data manipulation libraries (e.g., Pandas, NumPy) and visualization libraries (e.g., Matplotlib, Seaborn) Experience with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud, Azure) Excellent communication skills, with the ability to tailor messages to different audiences Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities A collaborative mindset with a focus on building strong relationships across teams Passion for data and a commitment to fostering a data-driven culture within the organization Only candidates available and ready to work directly as Genesis10 employees will be considered for this position.
