Job Summary:

Bongards' Creameries is seeking a Day Shift Cook Operator based out of our Humboldt facility.

The Cook operator is responsible for monitoring and troubleshooting the assigned cheese process line for GMP conformance and compliance with Federal Regulations.

Duties and Responsibilities:



  • Daily system checks (start up, operation, shut down)
  • Gather raw product samples to be evaluated by Lab
  • Make adjustments based off sample results communicated by Lab
  • Responsible for monitoring whole line processes (ingredients, pasteurization, finish process)
  • Filter inspection and replacement
  • Troubleshooting Cooker system
  • Maintain accurate documentation
  • Other duties as assigned


Skills and Qualifications:



  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Excellent Math and Reading skills
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational and communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines


  • Ability to work independently on assigned duties
  • Strong mechanical aptitude
  • Must adhere to and follow all Safety, GMP, other quality guidelines
  • Must report all food safety problems to immediate supervisor or designated replacement
  • Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs


Schedule:



  • Day Shift 5:30am to 5:45pm Monday - Friday
