Hours: Monday - Thursday: 5:15am - 2:45pm; Friday: 5:00am - 9:00am; Overtime as needed

JOB SUMMARY: As the Slab Sales Coordinator, you'll be responsible for Slab product receipts, unloading, inspection, and accuracy of slab inventory. This role is also responsible for filling orders, loading, and delivering finished product while meeting quality, cost, and delivery expectations.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

  • Managing the slab sales inventory
  • Performing duties, such as cycle counting, quality assurance, slab grading, and slab grouting; ensuring all slabs are accounted for in inventory
  • Managing customer orders and processing transactions in the JDE system
  • Operating the forklift to load/unload A-frames and L-frames of granite slabs for deliveries; moving slabs to various warehouse and yard areas as necessary
  • Inspecting all slabs received to ensure they meet quality specifications (size dimensions, color, cracks, seams, etc.) and completing the inspection log of any discrepancies
  • Process transfer requests in the JDE system between consignment and showrooms to ensure slab availability
  • Staging and photographing all slabs in the Slabsmith system; entering pictures of all slabs into the Slabsmith
  • Preparing and staging granite slabs for the Sales Department and customer visits
  • Coordinating deliveries and shipments for sub-contractors delivering to local vendors
  • Communicating via phone and responding to emails to fill customer orders
  • Performing other duties as assigned by the supervisor


SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE

  • Must have a valid driver's license
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Must have excellent color perception; cannot be color blind or deficient
  • Ability to work independently, with little or no supervision
  • Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills
  • Mechanically inclined & general math skills
  • Work as a self-motivated team member who adheres to all safety protocols and is willing to cross-train as needed
  • Knowledge of inventory management processes.
  • General computer skills, specifically with Microsoft Office suite of products
  • Must be able to read work orders or production tickets, which may include dimensional drawings
  • Ability to read a tape measure, imperial and metric
