Description

    Adhering to all requirements as stated in the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (Title 32, CFR 117), SRC Policies and Security Standards, Practices and Procedures
  • Liaising directly with the assigned DCSA IS Rep and other Gov't. Agency's to ensure full and timely compliance with government directives, regulations and reporting requirements
  • Assisting the Director of Security/ITPSO and ATS Division Security Manager in the effective implementation, assessment, and management of the SRC Security Program
  • Reporting security issues to the ATS Division Security Manager and the Insider Threat Program Senior Official as applicable. Per NISPOM reports to be made as required
  • Establishing and Implementing local security procedures and processes as necessary; oversee' s security education, insider threat awareness, and training activities for facility management, personnel, and others, as appropriate
  • Coordinating the Security Program support to include Staff Assistance Visits for continued security program efficiency, NISPOM Compliance and preparation towards recurring DCSA Vulnerability Assessments
  • Serving as the SRC Huntsville Office Insider Threat Security Officer; an integral member of the Enterprise Threat Working Group responsible for implementation, managing and reporting insider threat items
  • Identifying and documenting unique local threats & vulnerabilities; makes recommendation to risk management status and reports threat indicators into the Insider Threat process
  • Ensuring that periodic self-inspections of the NISP security program are conducted and that corrective action is taken for all identified findings and vulnerabilities
  • Developing and implementing Incident Response plans, vulnerability assessments, and maintenance procedures
  • Managing and providing security guidance for program support to include emerging requirements for Information Systems, and Storage requirements as they develop
  • Managing SCI nominations as well as indoctrinate and or coordinate for indoctrination's of SCI employees
  • Additional duties as SSR. Managing SCI cleared employees to include training, indoctrination, and management of government Data Bases for SCI cleared employees such as ACCS, DISS, NBIS

Requirements

  • Current TOP SECRET security clearance eligibility with ability to maintain a TOP SECRET security clearance.
  • Minimum two-year technical degree and three or more years work related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience with or have worked as one or more of the following: Facility Security Officer, Assistant FSO, or Industrial Security Program Specialist providing security oversight in accordance with NISPOM guidelines.
  • Experience with DISS for management of Personnel Security Records and Visitor management for incoming and outgoing Visit Authorizations.
  • Experience with NBIS for management of Personnel Security Investigations.
  • Experience with Personnel Security requirements, managing Personnel Security records, and Security Investigations.
  • Experience with maintaining accurate and up-to-date security documentation.
  • Experience with developing and administering security briefings.
  • Experience with conducting incident or administrative inquiries and developing required reports.
  • Must have completed FSO certification.
  • Excellent organizational skills; detail oriented.
  • Dependable and able to work without direct supervision.


Desired Skills

  • Minimum3 years Industrial Security Program / FSO experience.
  • Experience with Restricted Areas and/or Closed Area buildouts.
  • Experience with Document Control.
  • Experience with processing actions related to CAC cards and SCI nominations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.


Clearance Information

SRC IS A CONTRACTOR FOR THE U.S. GOVERNMENT, THIS POSITION WILL REQUIRE U.S. CITIZENSHIP AS WELL AS, A U.S. GOVERNMENT SECURITY CLEARANCE AT THE TOP SECRET LEVEL



Travel Requirements

  • Some CONUS Travel Required. ~10% travel to support other SRC locations or security relevant training
