Strengthens relationships with donors who give gifts of less than $500 and those who have recently become recurring donors. Focuses on personally stewarding annual givers, discovering more about their philanthropic interests, and ensuring each supporter feels valued and connected to Boys Town's mission. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:
  • Makes thank-you calls to donors who contribute gifts under $500 and new recurring donors to express gratitude for their support. Sends update and engaging emails and or thank you cards when calls are not a viable option,.
  • Engages donors in meaningful conversations to learn more about their motivation for giving and their connection to Boys Town.
  • Accurately records donor interactions in the donor database, ensuring timely and complete documentation of insights gained.
  • Serves as a friendly, informative, and professional point of contact for donors, enhancing their experience with Boys Town.
  • Contacts donors to invite them to increase their impact by becoming recurring donors.
  • Maintains a small portfolio of donors.
  • Identifies donors that have a strong affinity for Boys Town and a high giving capacity and connects them with a regional philanthropy officer.
  • Assists in working with the Donor Relations team in processing gifts during the busy season.
  • Assists in special projects to steward our donors as needed.
  • Ensures review of donor records for donor integrity, accurate phone numbers, emails, addresses, etc. as well as no duplicate records.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to connect authentically with donors.
  • Ability to accurately capture donor interactions and information in the database.
  • Comfortable working with donor databases, CRM systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to manage multiple calls per day while maintaining quality interactions and meeting performance expectations.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Associates degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to work weekends as needed required.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Prior experience in customer service, donor relations, fundraising, or telemarketing preferred.

  • Serves as a role model in carrying out activities and behaviors that reflect the values and principles of the Boys Town mission.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS, EQUIPMENT USAGE, WORK ENVIRONMENT:
  • Position is relatively sedentary in a normal office administrative environment involving minimum exposure to physical risks. Will use office equipment such as a computer/laptop, monitor, keyboard, and a general workstation set-up.
