Role:

As the Zone Leader for the Compressor Department, this position involves managing the daily/weekly repair plan, organizing and controlling tasks for entrusted assembly lines in accordance with internal and external customer requests. You will be responsible for the outcomes from assembly lines, including productivity, volume, and efficiency, while adhering to all safety standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Include the following, other duties may be assigned.



  • Assemble a limited variety of compressors and chillers
  • Testing units to meet tolerances & product specifications
  • Maintaining the company's rigid quality assurance standards
  • Note information to work orders as required
  • Document unit data, operating conditions, and damage
  • Complete required paperwork accurately and timely
  • Ensure team members are trained, follow safety protocols, and meet quality standards
  • Plan and manage work schedules, maintain organization, and uphold 5S standards
  • Participate in hiring, training, and performance management
  • Other Duties as assigned



Qualifications:



  • Mechanical aptitude and manual dexterity
  • Ability to work in fast paced team environment
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and procedures
  • Ability to build units from single vendor or limit type of units
  • Proficient in computer skills (Excel, Word, intranet)
  • Strong time management, organization, and communication skills
  • Self-starter, team-oriented, and willing to learn new skills
  • Able to lead, motivate and supervise zone members to achieve targets
  • Supervisory experience and effective communication



Education and Experience:



  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • An understanding of engineering drawings and circuit diagrams is required. Knowledge of electrical and mechanical equipment used in pumping or vacuum applications.
  • Able to lead, motivate and supervise zone members to achieve targets
  • 3+ years related mechanical experience
  • 1-2 years leadership experience



Language Skills:



  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret written documents
  • Ability to interpret technical charts and drawings
  • Ability to respond in a professional manner to common inquiries
  • Ability to prepare reports and business correspondence

Work Environment: work is performed in a variety of industrial settings some of which

may include exposure to load noises, fumes, and heavy equipment.

Wage: $34.00/hr
