Job Overview

The Talent and Rewards Manager (TRM) reports to the segment human resources vice president and partners with the Total Rewards, HR Operations, and Talent Center of Excellences (CoEs). The TRM is responsible for leading the core people process execution for the segment and ensuring all activities and timelines are met in coordination with enterprise-wide guidelines. In partnership with the CoEs, they are responsible for managing and supporting the assessment of organizational and business segment needs and the design, implementation and evaluation of the programs that facilitate cultural engagement, talent management, and organizational effectiveness and wellness. Also, the TRM will be an active contributor to segment-specific people initiatives and/or potential enterprise programs piloted at the segment level.

A Day In The Life

-Build relationships and align with stakeholders across the segment to provide input to the CoE's on identifying and delivering core people processes and other HR solutions

-Play an active role throughout the HR solution life cycle (e.g., design, develop, deploy, execute) with a heavy emphasis on execution approach.

-Manage the core enterprise people processes for the segment in partnership with CoEs:

-New Hire Orientation / Onboarding: Partner as one of a team of enterprise facilitators for enterprise onboarding classes; ensure consistency of materials across segment locations; provide feedback to CoE when updates related to CoE are needed; provide support to executive on-boarding as needed in segment

-Pay for Performance Processes: Manage key milestones and provide data/analytics for the segment throughout the year according to enterprise calendar (Objective Setting, Continuous Feedback, Performance Reviews, Merit / STI / LTI)

-Succession Management: Manage enterprise process timeline, execution for segment related to updates to myHubb, calibration sessions, succession planning presentations, and final data updates; drive development plans (IDPs) across the segment; support segment-specific initiatives for High Potential Talent (e.g., Leadership Development Program)

-Assessments:360 Feedback, Insights Survey, and New Leader Assimilations

-Learning and Development: partner with Hubbell University Team on critical topics for the business to influence learning content; manage processes for executing mandatory training required by company; provide coaching and support for HR business partners on helping managers / employees on Individual Development Planning; DDI Certification would be beneficial for the TRM, along with Insights certification

-Total Rewards (Compensation, Benefits): Partner with Total Rewards CoE to ensure Open Enrollment training and completion in partnership with HR business partners; communicate Health and Wellness educational offerings; engage with HRD and Compensation partners on salary and wage reviews; be an active voice during the annual merit calibration during P4P

-Employee Engagement:Participate in the execution of Win as One; participate in the design and execution of the annual employee survey (Elevate); help drive action planning across the segment

Support other engagement activities like round tables, Positive Workplace training, etc.

-Talent Acquisition: Provide overall support for Direct/Hourly staffing and retention initiatives (e.g., NESCO, Temp Conversions, Direct Hiring Model); actively monitor and triage salaried staff efforts; manage the campus program for the segment including the Internship Program, direct hires, and HRP

-HR Analytics: Support data request, analysis, and insights as needed in partnership with CoE partners; segment owner of HR Dashboard - in partnership with CoE partners

-Serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the segment on myHubb modules for Performance Management (including Objectives, Continuous Feedback, Individual Development Plans, Performance Reviews, Succession, Compensation and Hubbell University)

-Support and lead efforts using existing diagnostic tools such as Organizational Culture Survey, Performance Management, Succession Planning, New Leader and 360 Assessments to support effective organizational decision making related to leader and bench strength development.

What will help you thrive in this role?

Minimum of 5-7 years HRBP and/or COE experience; ideally in mid/large-sized publicly traded organizations

Excellent organization, communication, and influence skills with an ability to communicate complex information in an approachable manner to all levels within a segment

Collaborative in nature; comfortable with matrixed reporting

Intermediate analysis, instructional design, content development, and project management skills

Proven time management skills; ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks effectively

Results-oriented with a history of delivering results in a fast-paced environment

Excellent change management skills

Ability to make formal presentations on a variety of work-related topics on a regular basis required

Excellent computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)

Education: Bachelor's degree in business related area required

Travel: Estimated 10-20%; as needed to facilitate training, attend staff meetings, attend offsite events with the segment and Hubbell HR team. Could be higher during annual HR process times, i.e., Performance Management, Talent Review, etc. Primarily US based work and travel
