Position Purpose
-
- Prepare and deliver day, evening, weekend, and web-based courses in the Digital Media department graphic design, drawing, photography, 3D animation, or video.
- Participate in mandatory college activities that support the mission of the department and the college.
- Must have the ability to work effectively with students of different learning styles.
- Additional responsibilities include preparation of instructional materials, assessing student performance, including electronic submission of never attends, early alert, mid-term grades and final grades by the required dates.

Essential Functions
-
* Instruct students in both fundamental and advanced 3D Animation concepts. * Develop and update the course syllabi to ensure that the content remains relevant and up to date. * Prepare and grade tests, quizzes, and projects. * Design and assign class projects and individual assignments that align with the course objectives. * Maintain clear communication with students regarding course expectations, deadlines, and their academic progress. * Provide feedback and academic support to students to enhance their learning outcomes. * Ensure a positive and engaging learning environment for all students. * Possess advanced knowledge of computer applications, including current trends and emerging technologies. * Deliver enthusiastic and high-quality instruction to students, exploring innovative ways to enhance the learning experience. * Exhibit excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. * Collaborate with full-time faculty members to ensure consistency and uphold high academic standards. * Ability to use technology that includes MS Office and multimedia software programs. * Ability to use/learn the College's learning management system and the master courses provided by the department.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

- Knowledge of Blender software, including modeling, sculpting, texturing, rigging, animating, and rendering. Other 3D software knowledge (Maya, 3DS Max, Houdini, etc.) may be considered in lieu of Blender.
- Understanding of animated movement, storytelling, video composition, and lighting.
- Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Premiere, Illustrator).

Stark State College utilizes E-Verify to ensure compliance with applicable employment eligibility laws. E-Verify is an electronic system used to confirm the employment eligibility of new hires.
