JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Power Supply design: Low power, high efficiency AC-DC and DC-DC converters, Including, but not limited to Fly-backs, Boost, Buck, LED Drivers, and LDOs.
* Magnetics Design - Transformer and Inductors
* External interface circuit design includes ESD, EMC (electromagnetic Compatibility), and Lightning protection per RTCA / DO-160 and MIL Standard.
* Assist environmental qualification with testing and troubleshooting to address problem reports and non-compliances
* Project Engineer responsibilities - Lead design efforts, author specifications (SCD), and manage schedule to meet project milestones.
* Assists in design reviews of printed circuit boards
* Assist in layout of printed circuit boards to provide for EMC designs
* Assists in component obsolescence issues by helping find alternative components and designing alternative electrical parts/sub-assemblies when required
* Assist in quality issues to find root causes and implement corrective actions
* Recommend lifetime component purchases or other risk mitigations for components that are going End-of-Life to ensure manufacturing of products can be sustained
* Assist troubleshooting complex electronic designs

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
* Bachelor"s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Master of Science in Electrical Engineering preferred
* Minimum 3-5 years of Analog and Power Supply Design experience
* Manufacturing and EMC Design experience highly preferred
* Must possess strong interpersonal skills and have ability to work across all multiple levels from production personnel to senior management.
* Ability to express complex concepts effectively both orally and in writing.
* Solid computer skills to include MS Office Suite including Word, Project, Excel, & Visio
* Ability to thoroughly research engineering concepts and parts
* Familiarity with various electrical components including integrated circuits, memory devices, microprocessors, LEDs, and passive components
* Perform electrical and thermal stress analyses on circuit components.
* Familiarity with test equipment - oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, LCR meters
* Familiarity with electro-mechanical components including connectors and switches
* Familiarity with analog simulation tools (SPICE, TINA), computational tools (Mathcad, MATLAB).
* Knowledge of Altium basic or advance design preferred.
