The PAC Manager, Advisory Services - Remote will be a part of Optum's Inpatient Case Management and Clinical Variation solution, responsible for the development, implementation, and long-term management of the Post-Acute Program for strategic client partnerships. The successful candidate must be passionate about improving care delivery, effective at collaborating in a fast-paced environment and confident in their interactions with senior leaders, providers, and business partners.

The PAC Manager, Advisory Services - Remote will provide program management to lead Optum and client teams to improve efficiency in care delivery and achieve health system financial sustainability. This proactive, client-savvy professional will ensure seamless, consistent delivery across Optum business units and key client services.

Primary Responsibilities:



  • Oversee detailed data analytics and financial projections (e.g., MicroStrategy, Excel) and translate findings to operational stakeholders
  • Lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams through assessment, opportunity identification, solution design, and implementation
  • Perform and oversee program management activities, such as monitoring client scope, creating work plans, tracking deliverables, identifying and mitigating risks, managing resource plans, and monitoring successful achievement of project goals
  • Define and manage the creation of artifacts or deliverables that effectively summarize findings, support fact-based recommendations, and provide appropriate detail to substantiate conclusions
  • Support service deployment and closely monitors performance, working with finance and operations to ensure financial viability and operational excellence
  • Build trusting relationships with senior leaders, clinicians, and client stakeholders, leading with influence to drive change
  • Communicate clear direction and delegate responsibilities to team members when needed, providing management and coaching
  • Identify and document business or clinical process re-engineering opportunities including current and future state process flows

Required Qualifications:



  • Current active Nursing Home Administrator's license
  • 5+ years of experience in hospital operations and/or project management environment
  • 5+ years of Program Management experience; leading client teams to improve efficiency in care delivery
  • 5+ years of experience in a Post Acute Care setting
  • Advanced Microsoft Office expertise, specifically Excel and PowerPoint
  • Ability to travel regionally up to 50 - 80%



Preferred Qualifications:



  • Experience with data management tools and/or BI tools (e.g., Tableau, MicroStrategy)
  • Experience with project turnaround/remediation and change management methodology
  • Experience in clinical transformation implementation resulting in significant recurring financial benefit
  • Experience building project/program deliverables with ability to manage 3+ workstreams across complex internal and external stakeholders
  • Proven solid analytical and strategic thinking and business acumen with the ability to solve complex problems
  • Proven self-guided, motivated and able to simultaneously manage multiple activities with little direction in a fast-paced environment
  • Proven exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including presenting to senior leaders
  • Proven highly adept at handling ambiguity
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and mentor team members
  • Proven track record of working collaboratively with internal business partners and stakeholders across a large matrixed organization
  • Proven ability to develop, build and maintain relationships with clinicians and business leadership

The salary range for this role is $106,800 to $194,200 annually based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
