The Recruiter works jointly with hiring managers overseeing the advertising, sourcing, screening, interviewing, and hiring processes of employees. The Recruiter ensures the job seeker has a positive candidate experience, provides open, honest, and professional communication with all parties, and pro actively recruits to increase the company's talent pool. Responsibilities of Position:



  • Develop relationships and partner with stakeholders to build awareness of their departments, hiring needs, and job specifications.
  • Ownership of all requisitions within assigned area of responsibility to include posting jobs within ATS, management of candidates throughout the hiring process from identifying qualified candidates to final-offer negotiations.
  • Utilize knowledge of multiple recruiting sources and execute innovative strategies to find quality candidates.
  • Fully utilize ATS and additional HR software to maintain a database of candidate records, including active and passive prospects, hired and terminated employees, and other designations.
  • Provide coaching, training, and guidance to internal stakeholders with recruitment and interview strategies.
  • Builds candidate pipelines by researching and contacting community services, colleges, employment agencies, third-party recruiters, media, and internet sites; providing organization information, opportunities, and benefits; making presentations; and maintaining rapport.
  • Determine applicant requirements by studying job description and job qualifications.
  • Assists and/or coordinates with the Recruiting Manager to place job advertisements, presence on job boards, content, and branding.
  • Evaluates applicants by discussing job requirements and applicant qualifications with managers and phone screening and/or interviewing applicants on a consistent set of qualifications.
  • Avoids legal challenges by understanding current legislation, enforcing regulations with managers, recommending new procedures, and conducting training. Ensure OFCCP compliance.
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, and participating in professional organizations.
  • Ability to effectively multi-task, follow up on outstanding action items, and quickly pivot as business needs change.
  • Exercise discretion when dealing with sensitive, confidential information regarding candidates and employees.
  • Monitor and report on recruitment metrics, including but not limited to improving time-to-offer, quality of hires, and hiring velocity.
  • Other duties as assigned.



Skills & Abilities Needed for Position:



  • Strong communication/customer service skills to speak professionally and fluently with hiring managers, HR, candidates, and potential job seekers.
  • Ability to effectively "sell" the company, culture, job opportunities, benefits and promote Rumpke's brand.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks, requisitions, time, schedules, and organize detailed information.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, Applicant Tracking Systems, and various job boards.
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse groups of candidates and internal stakeholders.
  • Must have high attention to detail.
  • Good team player, and willingness to assist others, share expertise, and bring new recruitment action plans to impact hiring results.
  • Office environment.
  • Ability to independently travel up to 15% and as needed.



Experience & Knowledge Needed for Position:



  • Bachelor's degree in HR, business, or related field.
  • 3+ years recruiting/sourcing experience in full life-cycle environment required.
  • Ability to independently travel up to 15% and as needed.



Physical Requirements in a Regular Workday:



  • Prolonged sitting and repetitive motions performed answering phone and working on computer
  • Rarely lifting/carrying/pushing/pulling a max of 20 lbs.



Additional Working Conditions/Aspects:



  • Legally eligible to work in the United States.
  • Valid driver's license (if applicable).
  • Must successfully complete pre-employment testing.
  • Must be able to read and speak the English language.
