Supermicro is looking for talented and passionate Application Engineer who has in-depth knowledge in networking solution, especially in switch products. You will be responsible in providing technical supports to our enterprise customers, promote internal switch products to provide optimize customer's networking solution. The ideal candidate must have strong technical background in networking switch product as well as exceptional communication skill -- ability to interface with all level of management staffs in professional manner.

Includes the following essential duties and responsibilities (other duties may also be assigned):

* Responsible for pre and post sales on-site technical support, provide optimized networking solutions for customers using company's switch products

* Conduct market and technical research; Provide technical recommendations, implementations and support for optimized and complete networking solutions, and as required, support for associated server and storage solutions

* Lead other product hardware and software engineers in investigation and resolution of problems in development, utilizing the knowledge and skills in networking architectures, protocols, topologies, interoperability, hardware and software interaction, perform network system design, integration, conduct diagnostics routines for troubleshooting

* Handle day-to-day customer technical support of networking related issues including switches, add-on-cards and other networking products

* Improve networking product quality by proactively resolving field issues, oversee and present technical training on company's networking products to customers and the sales and marketing team

* Act as liaison between the product development team and the customers to evaluate technical requirements of the network products to meet customer's specifications, work closely with Research and Development on new networking products design and customer's problem solutions

* Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering is preferred

*Minimum 1-2 years of working experience in automated testing is preferred

* Knowledge and skill on Python programming

*Working independently and able to research and solve problems

* 2+ years of working / technical support experience in computer systems and/or servers is a plus

* Strong organizational and well-developed social skills

* Highly analytical, creative, detail oriented, organized, good team player is a plus

* Excellent telephone etiquette skills and on-site support skills

* Excellent knowledge of Server / Workstation GPU products is a plus

* Strong communication skill in both verbal and written

$68,640 - $117,000

The salary offered will depend on several factors, including your location, level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience, and comparison to other employees already in this role. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as participation in bonus and equity award programs.
