Essential Job Duties |
In this role, you'll work at the heart of Campus Enterprises, partnering directly with leadership to turn numbers into insights and strategy into action. You'll use your financial acumen-and your ability to interpret, negotiate, and understand the legal terms of contracts-to ensure that every dollar works smarter. If you're passionate about solving problems, digging into complex data, and guiding high-stakes decisions, this is the role where you can truly make an impact.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze and interpret complex financial data to support revenue and expense projections, business analytics, and capital project tracking.
- Lead financial reporting efforts, including variance analysis and budget oversight for a $90M+ enterprise.
- Ensure accuracy and compliance across A/P, A/R, and G/L transactions through monthly audits and process improvement.
- Consult with leadership to align financial operations with University policies, contractual obligations, and regulatory requirements.
- Prepare and present timely financial reports for Campus Enterprises, University partners, and the UNC System Office.
- Track and document audit-related data; respond to audit requests with accuracy and efficiency.
- Translate the fine print-reviewing, interpreting, and negotiating contract terms to safeguard financial and legal interests.
- Develop, manage, and evaluate financial models, including multi-year revenue projections and depreciation schedules.
If you enjoy turning data into action, navigating complex financial structures, and shaping the strategic future of a large-scale operation, we encourage you to apply. |
Other Responsibilities |
In addition to the core responsibilities of this role, there will be occasional opportunities to take on additional duties. This offers an opportunity to build on your skills, explore new areas, and gain a deeper understanding of the department's operations.
A few of the additional expectations and responsibilities are:
* Model the Division's mission and values, and foster a positive, cohesive workplace and congeniality among co-workers.
* Understand the goals and culture of the organization, and understand how employees' work activities, teamwork, and customer service impact clients. Work with your supervisor and colleagues to understand these goals and the culture.
* Adhere to all University policies, procedures, and regulations, and Division standard operating practices and protocols. |
