PRIMARY PURPOSE Accountable for day-to-day oversight of RSG's Human Resources (HR) function, the Director, Human Resources inspires and leads a team of HR professionals to foster a culture of excellence, accountability, inclusion and continuous improvement across the organization. The HR Director ensures that RSG's talent management practices are legally compliant and well-aligned with the company's mission, corporate values, culture and RSG's strategic goals and objectives. RESPONSIBILITIES
- Collaborates with company's executive leadership to understand, develop and execute the company's goals and strategy related to workforce staffing, recruiting, development, and retention, with a focus on understanding and aligning with an employee-owned organization.
- Collaborates with Finance and Payroll to ensure accurate employee data management and timely payroll processing across systems.
- Develops and manages the HR departmental budget in alignment with organizational priorities.
- Leads and develops the HR team, facilitating professional development, training, and certification activities. Ensures that HR team provides excellent and timely service and delivers the highest quality work in all areas of HR.
- Plans, leads, develops, coordinates, and implements policies, processes, training, initiatives, and surveys to support human resources compliance and strategy needs.
- Monitors and ensures the organization's compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews and modifies policies and practices to maintain compliance.
- Oversees the effective delivery of core HR services and programs across the organization, including but not limited to recruiting, leave administration, employee relations, reasonable accommodation requests, performance management, recognition, occupational health and safety, and employee training and development.
- Oversees the administration, use, and continuous improvement of the human resources information system (HRIS) to support accurate data management, efficient workflows, and effective reporting.
- Monitors the competitiveness, compliance, and effectiveness of total rewards and benefits programs; manages relationships with external benefits vendors and brokers in collaboration with the COO and Finance.
- Oversees the day-to-day administration of RSG's retirement and ownership plans, including the 401(k) and ESOP, in coordination with Finance, legal counsel, and third-party administrators; ensures compliance with applicable ERISA requirements and supports related audits and filings.
- Oversees the development and delivery of effective onboarding programs that promote employee engagement, inclusion, and early success within the organization.
- Champions a holistic employee experience by aligning HR programs, communication, and services with organizational culture, inclusion goals, and strategic priorities.
- Partners with organizational leaders to identify staffing and recruiting needs; develops and executes best practices for hiring and talent management.
- Leads the performance management process to ensure people managers are equipped to provide effective, ongoing feedback, and to hold individuals and teams accountable.
- Mitigates legal risk to the organization through proactive training and education, ensuring effective systems are in place to manage conflicts with and between employees, investigating complaints of harassment/discrimination, and promoting respectful and inclusive work environments.
- Fosters positive, respectful and inclusive work environments. Promotes and implements inclusive diversity initiatives along with other initiatives to ensure alignment with the RSG culture, best practices, and core values.
- Leads employee engagement initiatives, including engagement surveys and related communications and activities, in collaboration with senior leadership.
- Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources. Applies this knowledge to communicate changes in policy, practice, and resources to executive leadership.
QUALIFICATIONS Education and Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field is required.
- Minimum of 8 years of progressively responsible experience in the Human Resources field, including at least 3 years managing HR operations and staff in a leadership capacity, is required.
- SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP), HRCI Senior Professional Human Resources (SPHR), or an equivalent senior-level certification is preferred.
- Experience with an ESOP highly desired.
- Or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to excel at all job responsibilities.

- Experience supporting a professional services firm, ideally with a focus on public sector or government clients.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Job duties typically performed in an office setting and require sitting or standing for prolonged periods, with occasional light lifting, bending or stooping.
- Operates a computer and other office equipment and machinery such as a calculator, copy machine or computer printer.
