Responsible for the creation of, and updates to, provider templates for assigned areas incorporating the Guidelines for Template Standardization. Monitors master and daily schedule change requests. Works with Providers, Clinic/Practice Managers, Supervisors and/or Secretaries, and Schedulers to identify the most efficient, streamlined appointment scheduling process by incorporating various scheduling options into the provider schedule definition. Assists with the training of Template Builders to ensure consistency and adherence to all approved scheduling standards. Develops and modifies scheduling templates to optimize provider time in clinics; assists in improving patient access, provider book rates, and provider productivity.I. Major Responsibilities: 1. Provides oversight of master schedule templates for new and existing providers including new appointment type requests (i.e. new patient; established patient; urgent; etc.) and visit type load balance. II. Position Qualifications: License/Certification/Education: Required: Experience/Skills: Required: Unless certification, licensure or registration is required, an equivalent combination of education and experience which provides proficiency in the areas of responsibility listed in this description may be substituted for the above requirements. Department-specific competencies and their measurements will be developed and maintained in the individual departments. The competencies will be maintained and attached to the departmental job description. Responsible managers will review competencies with position incumbents.
