Job Overview

The Journey Knowledge Optimization Administrator ensures that colleagues have all the information they need to support customers across all lines of business in both Macy's and Bloomingdale's divisions. They explore and comprehend new applications, functions, and processes, relaying this information through dynamic, accurate, and consumable written articles that adhere to the current style guide format. They oversee the maintenance of knowledge articles, ensuring the database remains up-to-date, relevant, and accurate. The Administrator possesses great analytical skills, attention to detail, investigative abilities, and actively participates in demos and working sessions with various product partners. They thoroughly understand the products or processes they introduce and have comprehensive knowledge of Macy's/Bloomingdale's current policies and procedures, enabling them to effectively identify potential areas of impact for any given change.

What You Will Do



  • Review materials and supporting documents related to knowledge needs, asking thorough questions and providing feedback to ensure full comprehension.
  • Attend meetings and demos related to projects and processes you will write about.
  • Network and engage with various stakeholders to gather all necessary details of any given product or process.
  • Prioritize effectively to meet deadlines.
  • Write comprehensive, dynamic articles on new products or processes, adhering to company style guides and formats.
  • Search knowledge databases to find and update any related articles impacted by changes to existing products or procedures.
  • Track your work, update statuses, and add notes to your tasks to ensure visibility for all collaborative partners.
  • Identify and address any roadblocks or grey areas that could hinder project understanding or timelines.
  • Review knowledge analytics to identify and address opportunities for improving colleague knowledge consumption.
  • Be punctual to meetings, maintain good attendance, and be a reliable partner.
  • Own your development by seeking out knowledge and establishing goals that align with your career aspirations.
  • Foster an environment of acceptance and respect that strengthens relationships, and ensures authentic connections with colleagues, customers, and communities.

Who You Are



  • Candidates with a High School diploma or equivalent are encouraged to apply.
  • Regularly required to sit, talk, hear; use hands/fingers to touch, handle, and feel
  • Occasionally required to move about the workplace and reach with hands and arms
