The Linear Motion Division (LMD), encompassing the Thomson, Delevan, and Nook brands, is a major contributor to the Automation Motion Control Segment, with approximately 1,700 global associates and $400M in revenue. There are 9 main sites located across the United States, Mexico, the Caribbean, China, & Europe.

We are looking for a Quality Engineer III to join our Marengo team that has strong continuous improvement and leadership competencies to drive safety, quality, delivery, and cost improvements in one of our key Value Streams. Candidate will need to have the ability to multi-task, manage projects, and work independently in a fast-paced work environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITY

  • Provide a strong quality direction on new product development/commercialization efforts to ensure that products meet quality performance standards and are highly manufacturable.

  • Develop and maintain critical quality documents including but not limited to: FMEAs, control plans, capability studies, procedures, and meaningful metrics to control all aspects of manufacturing.

  • Lead customer complaint process to identify, coordinate and effectively resolve problems in a timely manner while completing documentation utilizing the 8D methodology

  • Collaborative with RMT and manufacturing engineering departments to implement process improvements.

  • Work with our top OEM customers to drive quality improvements to help the plant achieve preferred supplier ratings.

  • Work with Quality Manager to implement Regal Business System tools into our quality process.

  • Support FPQP (PPAP) process: Producibility reviews & process capability studies with strong input into supplier selection and approval

  • Other duties as assigned

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in related Engineering field required and 5 years of quality related experience preferred

  • Green or Black belt is a plus.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills.

  • Proficient in Excel, PPT and Minitab or equivalent statistical software

  • Proficiency in reading engineering drawings & geometric tolerancing (GD&T)

  • Working knowledge of the ISO 9001 standards and quality systems.

  • Strong continuous improvement skills and leadership competencies to drive quality, delivery, cost improvement, and short and long term results.

  • Ability to perform duties both individually and in a team environment.

  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment, tolerance for ambiguity.

  • Solid organization, interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.

  • Working knowledge of Solidworks and Autocad design package

Work Environment - the noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Salary Range: $80,000 - $110,000 USD annually

The salary range provided is intended to display the value of the company's base pay compensation for all statewide locations across the United States. Salary is dependent on a multitude of factors, including but not limited to the physical worksite location, candidate's skill set, level of experience, education, and internal peer compensation comparisons.
