Senior Financial Analyst

Day Shift

Hybrid (Onsite 1-3 Days/Week)

Summary:

Provides financial support to assigned Departments assisting them to meet their financial goals. Strives to meet Department goals through internal and external collaboration, with active participation on appropriate committees. Collaborates with department directors, managers, staff, medical staff, and administrative team members.

Responsibilities:

  1. Facilitate annual Operating Budget and Capital Budgets
  2. Assist with Performance Management / Variance Reporting to monitor performance to plan
  3. Assist with capital acquisition and tracking
  4. Understand Service Line reporting and Cost Accounting and provider appropriate reports to management
  5. Ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures
  6. Assist with education of operations staff to improve financial acumen
  7. Provide, as requested, analytic support to improve financial management
  8. Mentor Financial Analysts I and II
  9. Lead projects with the assigned departments
  10. Lead or participate in enterprise-wide projects
  11. Other duties as required.

Technical Expertise

  1. Proficiency in MS Office [Outlook, Excel, Word] or similar software is required.
  2. Experience working with all levels within an organization is preferred.
  3. Proficiency in MS Office [Outlook, Excel, Word] or similar software is required.
  4. Experience working with all levels within an organization is preferred.
  5. Experience with Physician Practices preferred.
  6. Experience with hospital billing data preferred.
  7. Experience with Fund and Grant Accounting preferred
  8. Other healthcare experience preferred

Education and Experience

  1. Education: Masters degree in business or healthcare administration preferred
  2. Certification: CPA in lieu of Masters
  3. Years of experience: Minimum of 5 years with a Masters degree or 8 years of relevant financial analysis
  4. Years of experience supervising: None
