Your Impact
As a fellow, you will join a client service team and take ownership of a workstream to solve some of the toughest challenges our clients face.
In this client-facing role, you will play a key part in driving process improvement, delivering successful business results, and developing broad-based strategies for a diverse set of clients. Over the course of 18 months, you will rotate through our three Sub-Service Line offerings-Capital Portfolio, Project Development, and Project Delivery. This rotation is designed to give you hands-on experience across the full lifecycle of capital programs, while building your proficiency in the analytical tools that drive client impact.
You will take on a role that goes beyond advising. You will be at the heart of the action-helping to uncover the true challenges behind a client's strategy and creating actionable plans that drive real change.
Working alongside clients and other McKinsey colleagues, you'll combine research, analyzing data, interviews, and brainstorming to generate fresh insights and breakthrough solutions. Your commitment to our values will be crucial in earning our clients' trust and delivering results that matter.

Our CE service line assists our clients in solving the world's toughest problems. Blending strategic thinking with hands-on practicality, our team of consultants and experts work to develop and implement operational strategies that solve our clients' most critical problems on a global scale.
CE is a rapidly growing service line with deep functional expertise focusing on the following issues: capital allocation & portfolio optimization; business case, concept/design optimization; procurement and contracting; construction, commissioning and ramp-up; and organizational capabilities. We provide a unique set of tools and techniques to help clients identify opportunities that represent a robust set of value propositions across the entire CapEx value chain.
Your qualifications and skills
  • Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, graduating in Spring or Summer 2026
  • Internship or field-based experience in one or more capital-intensive industries, such as Oil & Gas, Mining, Energy, or Chemicals
  • In-depth knowledge continuous improvement programs, i.e., Lean/Six Sigma is desirable
  • Demonstrated aptitude for analytics
  • Proven record of leadership in a work setting and/or through extracurricular activities
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Ability to work effectively with people at all levels in an organization
  • Skills to communicate complex ideas effectively
  • Comfortable with up to 80% travel. Ability to travel to and work in varying environments that may be challenging and/or not accessible (e.g.,factories, hospitals, mines)

is $112,000 - $112,000 USD -to help you understand what you can expect. This reflects our best estimate of the lowest to highest

to remember that actual salaries may vary. Factors like your office location, your unique blend of experience and skills, start date and our current
organizational needs all play a part in determining the final figure. Certain roles are also eligible for bonuses, subject to McKinsey's discretion
and based on factors such as individual and/or organizational performance.
