A rapidly growing center within an academic setting.

The center's current scope of work includes behavioral health, child health & well-being, health & health care financing, health in all policies, health systems transformation, long-term services & support, population & global health, and rural health. The center conducts, analyzes, and disseminates qualitative and quantitative research to connect decisionmakers with the objective research and guidance needed to make informed decisions about health policy and programs. The center is at work locally, nationally, and internationally with public and private partners to improve health and wellbeing.

ABOUT THIS POSITION
The project coordinator is a member of the Health Systems portfolio of work, providing support to multiple individuals and teams. The project coordinator will contribute to the projects within the portfolio of work and assist with special initiatives. The Health Systems portfolio currently includes work in rural community health systems development, cross sector alignment, long-term services and supports, and the Atlanta Regional Collaborative for Health Improvement. This position is based in Atlanta.

HERE IS WHAT YOU WILL DO
The scope of responsibility will include these specific areas/duties but is not limited to the following:



  • Project meeting coordination: Schedules meetings with stakeholders and teams, coordinates high-level and complex project meetings (e.g., national advisory committees, national special interest groups).
  • Assists with vendor management and contract negotiations to meet project deliverables
  • Project travel: Arranges and manages domestic and international travel for project team members, community sites, and national advisory committees.
  • Project budget coordination and monitoring.
  • Tracks project expenditures, supports payments to consultants and subcontractors, and prepares documentation needed for budget monitoring and invoicing.
  • Provides background research related to proposal development and project support.
  • Coordinates the request for information from stakeholders, elected officials, etc.
  • Monitors projects for compliance with funder reporting requirements.


ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND ABILITIES



  • Knowledge of computer software packages, particularly Microsoft Office, including Excel.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Effective time management and organizational skills.
  • Effective supervisory skills.
  • Ability to multitask and solve problems.
  • Ability to support multiple projects and team members.


The salary range for this position is $47,476 - $60,298. The position is sponsor-funded and is contingent upon funding.

Qualifications :

Minimum Requirements:



  • Bachelor's degree and two years of related experience; or high school diploma or GED and six years of related experience; or a combination of education and related experience.


Preferred Hiring Qualifications:



  • It is expected that the candidate will have knowledge and experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • The ability to provide excellent customer service to a wide variety of internal and external clients, community partners, and study participants is a must.
  • The ideal candidate must also have effective oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • The ability to work in a demanding, fast-paced environment is a must.
  • Limited in-state and national travel required.
