Waste Connections is looking for an Executive Assistant to support the Central Region Leadership Team in Englewood, CO. Duties and responsibilities include providing administrative support to ensure efficient operations throughout the region and is a keystone in driving and promoting our culture and values on a daily basis. This individual supports regional leadership teams and employees through a variety of tasks related to organization and communication. The successful individual needs to have the ability to rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals and a wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Base salary for this position is $75,000 - $80,000 per year + bonus opportunities Roles and Responsibilities:
- Effectively communicates and manages the Central Region calendar of events and the Region Vice President's calendar
- Managing and overseeing all aspects of leadership and development training for Central Region
- Administrative and Office Managerial duties supporting all line of business
- Support all regional departments including maintenance, safety, engineering, sales, and HR
- Liaison between Regional, Field and Corporate offices
- Assists with booking all aspects of region meeting and leadership training meetings, including meeting related travel.
- Maintains and prepares communications for region staff
- Assists in the preparation and distribution of regularly scheduled reports if and as required
- Manages vendor relationships and facility planning, including all office build out modifications and office asset ordering
- Plans and facilitates region office team building events and celebrations
- Research and create presentations if and as required
- Handles sensitive information in a confidential manner
- Continuously develops and updates administrative systems to make them more efficient
Job Requirements
- Able to work flexible hours, including evening and weekends
- Willing to travel for work, when required
- 2+ years of experience supporting executive leadership roles
- 2+ years in supervisory or people management position
- Very strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with stakeholders internal and external to the company
- Expert level written and verbal communication skills
- Advanced in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power Point), Adobe Acrobat, and Social Media web platforms
- Commitment to continuous performance and process improvement with a dedication to self-direction and willingness to take initiative
- Experience in preparation and coordination of company events, meetings, and employee team building activities or special projects
- Database managements skills, technologically savvy
