Performance Improvement Coordinator - Full Time - Days - Rochester

GENERAL SUMMARY:

Organizes and coordinates performance improvement program activities and workflow.

Responsibilities:



  • Collaborates with multidisciplinary team on problem identification and resolution, cost containment issues, implementation of new services and systems/ performance measures.
  • Researches, develops/acquires and implements improvement systems, methodologies and tools to improve operations.
  • Collaborates with Leaders to develop and revise screening indicators.
  • Provides on-site training and follow-up for performance improvement teams.
  • Performs regulatory documentation preparation, submission, and maintenance. Ensures compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements.
  • Assists in policy, procedure and contract review process. Coordinates quality improvement initiatives.


CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED:



  • BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) preferred.
  • Certification specializing in Lean Healthcare Management preferred.


EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:



  • High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.

    • Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable


  • Previous experience working in a surgical services setting or surgical floor.
  • Previous 3-5 years of experience in a hospital setting.
  • RN preferred.
  • Experience with BCBS CQIs (MSQC), quality, data analysis and process improvement a plus.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft office, comfortable presenting data to hospital leadership.
