Department:Natural Resources Management Office Organizational Unit:Watershed Capital Projects

Position Type:Permanent Full Time/Part Time:Full Time

Open Until Filled.

$25.13 to $27.64 hourly. Actual salary negotiable based on experience and qualifications. Government Center/Viera/Travels Countywide. Work schedule is Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.and may include evenings, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed and travel outside the County to attend training sessions and conferences. Performs skilled technical work coordinating and monitoring multiple County construction projects for the Natural Resources Management Department Stormwater Program.Work includes inspecting County and contractor work sites and performance; National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) report tracking; utility coordination; review of soil and concrete test results; pay request coordination; and submittal reviews. In addition, work involves the review of right of way (ROW) and easement vacate requests; ongoing inspection of stormwater systems countywide; and light maintenance and repair of stormwater facilities.

REQUIREMENTS:Six (6) years of progressively responsible experience in roadway, utility, and transportation construction, which includes at least three (3) years of project management experience preferably for a public agency;ORBachelor's degree in Transportation Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a closely related fieldPLUStwo (2) years of progressively responsible experience in roadway, utility, and transportation construction which includes project management experience preferably for a public agency. Additional qualifying education or experience may be substituted on a year for year basis. Experience in the construction of stormwater systems and facilities is preferred.SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Must possess, or obtain prior to employment, a valid Florida driver's license and maintain said license during the term of employment. In the event of a hurricane, major storm, natural or man-made disaster that may threaten the area, the employee will be required to perform emergency duties as directed.
