Admissions Advisor

The University of New Mexico College of Nursing (CON) is seeking an Admissions Advisor to join its highly energetic and student-oriented enrollment services team. In this role, you will provide excellent customer service to prospective students regarding application and admission requirements, support and participate in recruitment activities and events, and assist in the admissions process for all College of Nursing academic programs. This is a fast-paced environment dedicated to assisting a diverse prospective student population.

The Admissions Advisor will be responsible for evaluating documents for entry into the College of Nursing, managing the application process utilizing NursingCAS, and collaborating with both internal and external constituencies, including NMNEC partner sites, to support the college's admission and enrollment goals. This role will communicate with student's process admissions, and prepare reports and data analysis in partnership with key staff, administrators, and program directors. The Admissions Advisor must maintain a solid understanding of student success resources available on campus, as well as departmental requirements and degree program objectives.

The ideal candidate will possess strong skills in advising, interpersonal communication, data analysis, organization and customer service. Success in this position requires the ability to work effectively in a deadline-driven environment and engage with a diverse population of students, staff, and faculty. Conversational Spanish is a plus.

College of Nursing

The University Of New Mexico College of Nursing, located in Albuquerque, NM, ranks in the top 15% of nursing programs in the country. High school diploma or GED; at least 5 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.

Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in/with:

• Proficiency in programs related to admission duties: Banner, MS Office Suite, Customer Relations Management (CRM) system and NursingCAS
• Customer Service
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Data entry and record keeping
