DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a Real Estate Specialist, you will be managing PennDOT land including the disposition and leasing processes of these parcels. This includes acquiring right of way for highway projects in accordance with the Eminent Domain code, as well as assisting with the enforcement of the Highway Beautification and Junkyard regulations and procedures as needed. Your work will involve assigned property management activities, monitoring the condition of Department-owned properties, and supplying suggestions to implement and improve technology and increase the level of safety for employees and the public. Effective communication skills are paramount for both internal and external aspects of this position as you will ensure cooperation between units, liaise with right-of-way acquisition consultants on department projects, explain the Department's policies and procedures relevant to the right-of-way processes and ensure that they are followed, as well as negotiate with property owners and their representatives for all types of acquisitions and relocation claims. - Full-time employment
- Work hours are 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) full-time after the first six months; the schedule will be determined after that. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in King of Prussia.
- Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- One year as a Real Estate Technician (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
- Two years of technical real estate experience and an associate degree; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.
Special Requirements:
- All positions require the possession of an active Class C driver's license or equivalent.
Other Requirements:
