Title: Strategic Sourcing Specialist - ERG/Waste Management
Location: Houston, TX (Katy, TX area)

Salary: $85,000 - $130,000
Schedule: Hybrid schedule available of up to 2 days remote per week after 6 months in the role or 9/80 schedule
Relocation Available

Focus: The Strategic Sourcing Specialist - ERG/Waste Management is responsible for executing on strategic sourcing activities in support of Olin's corporate organization.

Strategic Sourcing Specialist - ERG/Waste Management Essential Job Functions:

* Leads category sourcing activities to support plant operations and corporate organization, primarily in areas of Emergency Response, Environmental and Remediation Consulting, Waste Management (Non-Hazardous and Hazardous), Waste Services, and Waste Transportation.
* Collaborates with internal stakeholders to negotiate long term contracts to ensure optimum costs and reliable service.
* Activates on category negotiation strategies in alignment with corporate stakeholders.
* Manages and administers existing agreements (amendments, extensions, issue resolutions, updating SAP and SMS, etc.).
* Manges Quality, Service, & Product Performance process for vendors and suppliers.
* Drives productivity initiatives in alignment with organization and department category objectives.
* Participate as an active member of WMU Committee and Environmental Remediation Group Leadership Team.

Strategic Sourcing Specialist - ERG/Waste Management Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree*; Degree in Supply Chain, Business, related discipline strongly preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years in environmental management, procurement, supply chain, or commercial sales
  • Ability to manage the strategic sourcing process, to include directly negotiating contracts with vendors
  • Ability to manage a high volume of activity with quick response times
  • Must possess advanced analytical skills, as well organizational, time management, and project management skills
  • Prior Olin experience in a relevant position preferred
