Job Description

Role Overview Visa is seeking a seasoned and highly motivated Sr. Technical Product Manager within VAS Product Development. VAS Product Development drives the diversification of our revenue with products that differentiate our network and deliver valuable solutions across other rails.

We are seeking a Sr. Technical Product Manager who is a self-starter, ready to learn and experiment, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.

The ideal candidate will possess the technical expertise to navigate both business and technology requirements, be comfortable operating in ambiguous situations, and assist in prioritizing delivery in line with product strategy. They should also have the ability to catalyze change and enhance efficiency within the overall delivery process.

Essential Functions:

Drive the vision and direction of the product portfolio, setting clear and deliverable goals.

Develop and implement robust product strategies that align with company objectives and market trends.

Set clear expectations with business partners to provide transparency into project initiation activities, and manage day-to-day interaction during project execution and delivery

Perform project planning and scheduling, manage tasks and coordinate project resources to meet objectives and timelines.

Experience with AI/ML, GenAI technologies as well as with driving the product development using AI/ML technologies.

Facilitate collaboration across engineering, design, and marketing teams to ensure product development is aligned with customer needs and business goals.

Set clear expectations with business partners to provide transparency into project initiation activities, and manage day-to-day interaction during project execution and delivery

Perform project planning and scheduling, manage tasks and coordinate project resources to meet objectives and timelines

Employ data-driven decision making to prioritize product features, enhancements and improvements.

Oversee the end-to-end product lifecycle, from ideation, research, design, development, testing, launch to post-launch evaluation.

Foster an environment of innovation, encouraging the team to bring forward new ideas and solution

Act as a key liaison between the product team, executive leadership, and other stakeholders, ensuring transparency and alignment.

Implement best practices in technical product management and instill these practices within the team.

Regularly engage with customers and key stakeholders to gather feedback, understand their needs and ensure product-market fit.

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

* 10+ years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or at least 7 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 4 years of work experience with a PhD, OR 13+ years of relevant work experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

*12 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or 8-10 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 6+ years of work experience with a PhD

* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related

field.

* 10-12 years experience in technical product management and technical

program management, with

a track record of leading successful product teams.

* Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to drive and inspire a team.

* In-depth understanding of software development and web technologies.

* In-depth understanding of AI/ML, GenAI technologies and experience with driving the AI/ML product development

* Proficient in Agile and Scrum methodologies, with a strong focus on user-

centered design.

* Exceptional project management skills with the ability to manage multiple

projects simultaneously.

* Strong analytical skills, with the ability to translate complex data into

actionable strategies.

* Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence

and engage diverse stakeholders.

* Proven ability to set up and adapt product management processes to fit team

and company needs.

* Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, and to manage

ambiguity effectively

Additional Information

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 160,600.00 to 232,900.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity. Visa has a comprehensive benefits package for which this position may be eligible that includes Medical, Dental, Vision, 401 (k), FSA/HSA, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off, and Wellness Program.
