Location: Melbourne, FL Contract Length: 6+ Months Pay Rate: $25/hour Job Description: We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Decommissioning Technician for a contract role-based position in Melbourne, FL. In this position, you will play a key role in our IT Asset Disposition (ITAD) operations, with a focus on data destruction, device processing, and equipment handling. Responsibilities: - Operate industrial hard drive shredder equipment safely and efficiently - Remove hard drives from desktops, laptops, and servers - Perform data wiping on HDDs and SSDs in laptops using approved software tools - Process and wipe mobile phones according to security protocols - Palletize desktops, laptops, and servers for inventory and shipping - Capture and scan serial numbers for all processed equipment to ensure accurate tracking - Assist with general ITAD processing tasks and warehouse labor as needed Qualifications: - Prior experience with IT hardware or in a warehouse/ITAD environment preferred - Familiarity with hard drive wiping tools and general data destruction best practices - Strong attention to detail and ability to follow documented procedures - Comfortable with physical work, including lifting and palletizing equipment - Reliable, punctual, and a strong team player After you have applied, download our Staffmark Group WorkNOW App to receive real-time job offers and apply for additional opportunities.
