Description

The Account Manager III is aligned with Account Executive function to support the renewal process and to act as primary point of contact for handling customer concerns, account issues and escalated support inquiries for defined group of existing Commercial accounts. Responsible for overall satisfaction and proactive retention of customers through knowledge of their core business and products and for ensuring solutions meet customer needs.

Skills and Abilities



  • Account Management experience with a Health Insurer or within the industry.
  • Salesforce experience preferred
  • Advanced skills in MS Word and Excel
  • Presentation experience
  • Project management skills
  • Experienced written and oral communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills
  • Decision-making and analytical skills
  • Ability to work in a self-directed manner
  • Ability to work with a variety of management levels
  • Ability to thrive under pressure and in a fluctuating environment


License:



  • MO Life/Health License


Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in related field
  • 5+ years of related work experience beyond degree


Preferred:



  • Project management skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills (listening, mentoring, motivating)
  • Ability to partner cross-functionally (Operations, leadership, Senior Account Managers, Area Relationship Managers, etc.)
  • Ability to communicate externally (Brokers, group administrators, etc.)
  • Proven problem solving and conflict management capabilities


This position is a hub-based role which requires onsite presence. To be eligible for consideration, candidates must reside within a commuting distance from the St. Louis, MO office. Onsite frequency is determined by business need as decided by leadership and may be up to 2-3 days a week.

The full salary range for this position is $65,200 to $111,800.00. Annual salary range placement will depend on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, education, work experience, applicable certifications and/or licensure, the position's scope and responsibility, internal pay equity and external market salary data. In addition to base compensation, this position may be eligible for incentive plan compensation in addition to base salary.
