Associate Financial Analyst

Science Systems and Applications Inc (SSAI) is seeking an associate-level Financial Analyst to support various business and contract related activities. This position assists in providing interpretation of financial policies, governmental legislation, accounting theory, or customer financial regulations; analyzes financial information to determine present and future financial performance; identifies trends and recommends improvements accordingly; and may also assist in preparing studies, reports, and analyses in areas such as budgets, forecasts, financial plans, governmental requirements, statistical reports, cash flow projections, and business forecasts. This is an in office position located in Lanham, MD.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Exposure to contracts and business development activities
• Experience with data gathering, analysis, and reporting
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, etc.)
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• US Citizenship required

Physical Requirements: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, and use hands to touch, handle or feel objects, tools or controls. The employee frequently is required to talk and hear and occasionally required to reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
