This position is located at Patrick Space Force Station.

Tasks for this position must be performed largely on-site, but later assignments may be performed remotely.

Essential Functions:

  • Responsible for ensuring program security compliance with all corporate and government requirements and directives.
  • Manage customer directions regarding the Operations Security (OPSEC) program and Anti-Terrorism Force Protection program in addition to ensuring the facilities and systems manned and operated by RGNext meet all Department of Defense/Air Force and National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM) requirements for the processing of classical and sensitive unclassified information.
  • Maintain and manage the security program in accordance with the provisions and procedures of the 32 CFR Part 117 NISPOM Rule (NISPOM) and DD Form 254
  • Perform supervisory responsibilities for Security Management Eastern Range employees in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws
  • Interview, hire, and train employees; plan, assign, and direct work; appraise performance; reward and discipline employees; address complaints and resolve problems.
  • Administratively process personnel security clearances in accordance with Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA) requirements and maintain/update personnel security information.
  • Maintain internal database to ensure employee information is current and accurate at all times.
  • Process incoming and outgoing visit requests via the Defense Information System for Security (DISS)
  • Coordinate visitor access requests for controlled and restricted Areas
  • Generate, coordinate, and file Restricted Area Badge requests.
  • Develop, implement, and manage industrial security processes using best practice standards.
  • Assure that all classified items are properly received, logged, and stored in accordance with NISPOM requirements in an Information Management System
  • Provide guidance and assistance regarding protection of classified information.
  • Conduct briefings and participate in technical meetings with internal and external customers.
  • Compile data and provide necessary metrics or performance highlights.
  • Maintain a continuing security education and training program.
  • Conduct self-inspections and participate in government security vulnerability assessments.
  • Conduct Resource Protection Program inspections and audits, record and report findings, track corrective actions.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in security related field
  • Eight (8) or more years of security experience
  • Complete understanding of the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM)
  • Experience working with DISS, NISS, and Secure Web Fingerprint Transmission (SWFT)
  • Extensive knowledge of classified material/data security handling and protection procedures
  • Basic knowledge of the National Industrial Security System (NISS) and Facility Verifications
  • Basic knowledge of conducting security incident / violation investigations and developing a final report
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, i.e., Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.
  • Past employment must demonstrate exposure to processes or activities requiring strong ethical conduct, or experience successfully working with classified/sensitive material.

Additional Eligibility Qualifications:

  • Current DCSA FSO certification required.
  • Flexibility to work occasional overtime, non-duty hours or on weekends to support specific project requirements.
  • Must have a current DoD Top Secret Security Clearance, which includes U.S. citizenship.
  • Valid U.S. Driver's License required.
  • Valid U.S. Passport or ability to attain one within 60 days required for occasional travel outside the U.S.
