Job Overview

Responsible for analyzing, developing, coordinating, interpreting and documenting the Planning + Design + Construction (P + D + C) processes and services through data analysis. Develops and implements tools and platforms for P + D + C business functions.

Essential Functions

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand needs and gather detailed business requirements and translate them into actionable plans.
  • Analyze data to identify trends, patterns, and insights that inform business decisions.
  • Develop, maintain and manage construction project management software.
  • Run workshops and training sessions to support implementation of new processes or systems. Train new project team members inside and outside the university.
  • Create detailed documentation of P + D + C business requirements, processes, and solutions.
  • Develop and maintain a departmental Project Management Manual.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement and recommend solutions.
  • Develop tools for data collection, management and analysis.
  • Work with IT and other departments to implement and integrate solutions.
  • Support capital project planners and managers in implementing processes and tools.
  • Mentor and supervise undergraduate students.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of internal procedures.
  • Work under general supervision, performing other assignments as directed.
  • Interpret and communicate information clearly and accurately. Communicate internally within P + D + C and/or the university. Communicate with external audiences if required.
  • Interpret and communicate information, ideas and instructions clearly and accurately, both verbally and in written materials intended for distribution.
  • May serve as direct supervisor for part-time, student, and/or temporary workers or volunteers.
  • May validate and pay invoices.

Required Education

Bachelor's or Associate degree.

Required Experience

(3) Three years of related experience

Additional Qualifications Considered

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Experience in business analysis or a related field.
  • Experience with design and construction and familiarity with design and construction business practice.
  • Knowledge of e-Builder, Procore or other construction project management software.
