Summary/Objective:

The Corporate EH&S Training Manager will be a proactive leader with strong communication skills and a passion for employee safety and development. In this position you will develop EHS training programs across multiple facilities. The Corporate EH&S Training Manager is critical in ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, enhancing safety culture, and driving continuous improvement initiatives within a heavy industrial manufacturing environment.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Essential Functions:

  1. Develop, implement, and manage comprehensive EHS training programs to ensure compliance with DOT, OSHA, EPA, and other regulatory requirements.
  2. Conduct on-site and remote training sessions on topics such as hazard communication, confined space entry, lockout/tagout (LOTO), machine guarding, respiratory protection, emergency response, and other key safety programs.
  3. Collaborate with plant leadership and EHS teams to assess training needs and ensure consistency across all locations.
  4. Create and maintain training materials, manuals, and presentations tailored to various employee levels, from frontline workers to leadership.
  5. Lead train-the-trainer programs to empower site safety teams and supervisors in delivering effective EHS training.
  6. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs, making continuous improvements to enhance engagement and retention.
  7. Stay current on EHS regulations and best practices, ensuring training content reflects the latest industry standards.
  8. Support incident investigations and corrective action development by providing targeted training based on root cause findings.
  9. Maintain detailed records of training activities to ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory agencies.

Working Conditions:

  • Primarily working in a manufacturing environment.
  • May sit for several hours at a time.
  • Repetitive use of hands to operate computers, printers.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene, or a related field preferred.
  2. 5+ years of experience in EHS training and program management within a manufacturing environment.

Competencies:

  1. Excellent communication and presentation skills
  2. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Learning Management Systems
  3. Detail oriented

Supervisory Responsibility:

This position does not have supervisory responsibilities upon hiring.

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the Team Member is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing. The Team Member may have to lift and/or move items over 50 pounds.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full-time salary position, and hours/days of work are decided by your leader.

Travel:

Travel will be moderate and will be primarily local during the business day.

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Manufacturing/industry experience.
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, NFPA, and other relevant safety regulations
  • Proven experience in developing and delivering engaging training programs for diverse employee groups.
