Responsibilities

We are HIRING! We are adding a Mid-Level Network Administrator to the team. This position require daytime (8am - 5pm), evening (5pm - midnight) shift and on-call after hours (5pm - 8am) and all weekend support rotation every two weeks. This is remote but candidate must be local or within the Richmond, VA area.

What you will do:

    General maintenance, troubleshooting and root cause analysis for network incidents in the environment
  • Resolve all network issues assigned to the network team
  • Drive problem resolutions to ensure business continuity
  • Work shift rotations and weekends to accommodate maintenance restrictions and after-hours response.
  • Improve quality and ensure consistent and timely resolution of incidents
  • Implement necessary steps to prevent future incidents
  • Audit network devices to confirm network policies and guidelines meet or exceed targets for successfully audits
  • Perform change management (CM) role on all network devices. Implement network change requests based on CM processes
  • Install, upgrade and maintain all network components
  • Document processes in accordance with the Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) requirements


Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree and 5 years of experience. An additional 4 years of experience may be accepted in lieu of the degree.
  • Experience administering, configuring, installing, and upgrading the following:
    • F5 LTM load balancers
    • Checkpoint and Juniper firewalls
    • Cisco IOS routers, Cisco IOS
    • Nexus OS switches
  • Experience troubleshooting network traffic flows between servers, appliances, and network equipment
  • Experience performing routine maintenance and incident break / fix issues
  • Good level knowledge of any of the following protocols: OSPF, EIGRP, HSRP, VLAN, and TCP/IP
  • Professional, responsible attitude and can work independently
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be able to work evening shift (5pm - midnight) and on-call after hours (5pm - 8am) and all weekend support rotation every two week
  • Must be a US Citizen
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain the required agency clearance

  • Ability to work with remote, matrixed teams
  • Ability to work effectively in a team, and with clients

Target Salary Range

$66,000 - $106,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
