Job Description

The Center for Teaching and Learning (CTL) at UMSL is seeking a highly collaborative, detail-oriented, and organized Project Coordinator to join our growing and campus-engaged team. This role will contribute to close partnerships with our CTL Instructional Design, Learning Analytics, and Faculty Development teams, as well as active engagement with faculty and staff to support teaching, learning, and course feedback initiatives. The Project Coordinator will be instrumental in advancing our mission to foster an inclusive and innovative teaching and learning environment through supporting the people, systems, and data that tell the story of how our work impacts the mission of the CTL and UMSL. This is a hybrid position requiring 40 hours/week with opportunity to work remotely up to 2 days/week when not otherwise required on campus.

Key responsibilities include:

Teaching and Course Certification Support (30%)
* Collaborate with the Instructional Design team to facilitate training sessions and workshops related to online teaching certifications (OTC) and quality course reviews (QCR).
* Maintain tracking systems for certifications and provide updates to faculty and staff to ensure timely completion.
* Work closely with CTL team members to streamline communication processes and improve the efficiency of certification initiatives.

Program Registration and Tracking (30%)
* Partner with the Learning Analytics,Instructional Design, and Faculty Development teams to update registration processes for teaching and course development programs.
* Maintain accurate records of participant enrollment, online course tracking and program completion.
* Collaborate on the preparation of reports and the tracking of key metrics for continuous program improvement.

Database and Data Management (25%)
* Work with CTL team members to centralize data collection and visualization using tools like AirTable.
* Support the integration of certification data, program metrics, and student learning outcomes into unified systems for analysis and reporting.
* Collaborate with faculty and staff on the management of data tied to degree program assessments and other institutional goals.

Course Evaluation System Administration (5%)
* Partner with faculty, administrative staff, and CTL colleagues to set up and maintain the Courseval evaluation system.
* Ensure timely implementation of course evaluations and assist with accessing and interpreting evaluation reports.
* Work with the Learning Analytics team to generate insights and provide actionable data to stakeholders.

Office Support and Administration (5%)
* Act as a liaison between the CTL and other university departments to ensure smooth operations.
* Coordinate the CTL teams to develop and disseminate the monthly CTL newsletter and maintain an up-to-date website
* Support CTL initiatives through report preparation, presentation development, and logistical coordination.

Event Management (5%)
* Collaborate with CTL team members to plan, coordinate, and execute workshops, conferences, and other events.
* Work with staff and stakeholders to manage event logistics, including registrations, venue reservations, and audiovisual support.
* Communicate event details effectively and ensure alignment with broader CTL initiatives.

This is a hybrid position requiring 40 hours/week with opportunity to work remotely up to 2 days/week when not otherwise required on campus.

Minimum Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and 1 year of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary

Preferred Qualifications

* Minimum of 2 years of experience in administrative or project coordination roles, preferably in higher education.
* Strong commitment to teamwork, collaboration, and the shared mission of the CTL.
* Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, project management organizing tools, event management software, and database systems.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines.
* Ability to foster positive and connected relationships with faculty, staff, and team members.
* Familiarity with course evaluation platforms and learning management systems (e.g., Canvas) is a plus.
* Familiarity with data visualization methods such as Airtable, PowerBI, dashboards, that summarize the status of projects and assist the CTL team with prioritizing services
* Experience with budget tracking and reporting relating to departmental revenue and expenses

Anticipated Hiring Range

$18.50/hour - $26.34/hour
