The A/V Engineer is responsible for the setup, operation, maintenance, and support of audio, video, and lighting systems across the facility. This role ensures high-quality sound and visual experiences for daily operations, special events, and promotional activities. The position requires a combination of technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and strong communication to support both live and automated systems. Additionally, the A/V Engineer collaborates with various departments to maintain system functionality and enhance the overall guest and staff experience.

Responsibilities


  • Delivers technical support for A/V-related hardware and software issues, including help desk support, user assistance, and troubleshooting of audio systems.
  • Maintains and programs facility-wide audio systems, ensuring optimal sound settings and performance tailored to operational needs.
  • Oversees programmable lighting systems, including configuration and ongoing adjustments to meet venue requirements.
  • Supports live sound and lighting operations for events and daily activities by setting up and operating audio, video, and lighting equipment across various locations, and performing routine maintenance and troubleshooting.
  • Manages the facility-wide paging system, coordinating volume levels and clarity across the floor, and working with internal teams to implement necessary adjustments.
  • Organizes and maintains A/V inventory, including equipment, components, and media, ensuring proper labeling, storage, and availability.
  • Assists with special projects and operational tasks as assigned by the IT Operations Manager.



Requirements
  • High School Diploma or G.E.D.
  • 5 years theatrical, concert or meeting audio and monitoring experience
  • 3 years experience in theatrical, or concert or meeting lighting experience
  • NWare Peavey Audio and Crestron experience or equivalent audio and visual control systems knowledge
  • Audio and lighting schematic interpreting
  • Data network implementation and support experience



Desirable
  • Bachelor's Degree in Theatre Arts or equivalent experience
  • Casino theatre and entertainment experience
  • IT experience in a casino or gaming environment
  • QSC Audio programming experience
