Network Administrator Job Description

Responsible for the operation and administration of the company's computers, internal networks, servers, phone system, email, and satellite systems.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Administration and maintenance of the company's internal systems.
• Configuration and set-up of all new systems required for the company's activities.
• Firewall administration and overall responsibility for company IT security.
• Administration of email servers for company-wide email.
• Provide tier 2 telephone and desktop support to internal users.
• Forecasting any needed improvements for and implementing any changes.
• Maintain and support Azure and Windows servers in a 2003 Active Directory domain
• Test, evaluate, and implement software patches, updates, and upgrades
• Maintain accurate and current documentation of all procedures performed

Skills / Attributes Required

• Good working knowledge of the following: Active Directory, Linux, Windows Server,Exchange 2019, Meraki Firewalls & switches, VPNs, zScaler, Nutanix, Powershell, DNS, DHCP.
• Fundamental understanding of Security concepts such as SEIM, DLP and XDR
• Strong hands-on knowledge of Microsoft Azure Virtual Networking and Virtual Server infrastructure and security guardrails.
• Strong hands-on knowledge of Microsoft Teams, SharePoint and OneDrive implementation in single and multiple tenant installations.
• Strong troubleshooting, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
• Strong working knowledge of major networking components, network operating systems, and basic computer hardware components
• Hands on knowledge of the procedures used in the installation, modification maintenance and repair of IT hardware and software.
• Willing to investigate, learn, and install new technology
• 5 years plus experience maintaining systems and networks
• Willing to travel to locations in Minnesota, Texas, California, and Puerto Rico

• Knowledge of the following is a plus: Oracle, SQL server, Certificate management (PKI & Windows CA), Wi-Fi Access Point Configuration, Extreme Networks, Office Products,Radius server, Microsoft IIS, .net web services, SSO, SAML, OAUTH, DNSFilter web filter, Starlink satellite setup, Cellular modems, CradlePoint, Juniper switches, Cynet, Ninja, MDM, Windows 11 Imaging.
