Description

The IT Security Internship role requires a combination of technical ability, attention to detail, and willingness to learn. You will primarily work on advancing R.D. Offutt's security initiatives by taking part in various information security projects and tasks. This role will gain exposure to innovative technologies and the opportunity to work with our equipment dealerships, farming operations, international partnerships, and other subsidiaries.

Specific Duties Include:



  • Assist in day-to-day projects and tasks involving security operations.
  • Monitor and research internal and external security vulnerabilities.
  • Track phishing campaigns, awareness training results, and reported emails.
  • Review and escalate security related requests and alerts.
  • Stay up to date on the latest IT Security news and announcements, including notable data breaches and vulnerabilities in software and hardware.
  • Aid in the development and maintenance of user manuals and training materials.
  • Proactively look for and take part in available company-sponsored training, in an effort to develop and advance knowledge base and skill set.
  • Conduct self in the presence of customers and community to present a professional image of R.D. Offutt Company/RDO Equipment Co.
  • Participate in all company/location driven communication efforts, including open book meetings, huddles, department meetings and other related efforts.
  • Maintain a positive and professional working relationship with peers, management, and support resources, with a constant commitment to teamwork and exemplary customer service.
  • Follow all safety rules and regulations while performing work assignments and adhere to all policies and procedures as specified in company manuals and as directed in the employee handbook.
  • Maintain confidentiality of company proprietary solutions and information
  • Perform all other duties as assigned by management in a professional and efficient manner.


      Job Requirements:



      • Ability to work independently, as well as in a team environment.
      • Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication, reading, and customer service skills.
      • Highly motivated for learning and understanding innovative technologies.
      • Logical with a high-level of attention to detail
      • Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.
      • Ability to quickly learn modern technologies and methodologies.
      • Pursuing a bachelor's degree in information technology or related field, or equivalent IT experience
      • Candidates must have valid work authorization and be able to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship.
