Position Overview

Installation of electrical systems in portable buildings.

Job Functions

* Layout and install conduit and wire per drawing.

* Install and wire electrical panels, transformers, disconnects, light fixtures, termination cabinets and device boxes.

* Install MCC switch gear and buss bar assembly.

* Layout and install wireway and cable tray systems.

* Wire power and control wiring to HVAC units.

* Wire and terminate various control apparatuses, i.e... relays, alarm devices, limit switches, push buttons, motor controls per drawing.

* Maintain material inventory, tools, and housekeeping.

Competencies

* Minimum 2 years of experience as a Journeyman electrician.

* Proficient in conduit bending of EMT and/or RMC.

* Capable of using conduit power threaders and electric-hydraulic benders.

* Understanding of conduit wire fill and branch circuit sizing and derating.

* Can safely use a multi-meter on energized circuits.

Other Skills & Abilities (not required but a plus)

* Perform circuit testing by use of megaohm meter or hi-pot.

* Experienced and knowledgeable of Article 500 installation requirements.

* Can troubleshoot motor control circuits.

* Can bend and install instrument tubing.

* Experienced with using forklifts and/or overhead cranes
