DESCRIPTION OF WORK

The responsibilities of this position include examining and processing bureau forms to ensure proper issuance of replacement or corrections to motor vehicle and driver license credentials. The use of a personal computer is required to duplicate titles, registration plates, cards and placards for persons with disabilities, driver's license and motor vehicle registration renewals and non-driver identification renewals or replacements. Use basic knowledge of Motor Vehicle Code, procedures and regulations adopted by the Department of Transportation pertaining to registration and licensing. Reviews insurance suspension letters and determines eligibility requirements to either start or restore from registration suspensions. Excellent communication skills are required to speak with customers face to face or via telephone. You will also determine negotiability of checks and money order, as well as handle cash transaction and issues necessary change from own cash drawer. Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment, 40 hours per week.
- Work hours are 7:30am to 4:00pm, Monday-Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
- Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $37,660 (before taxes).

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Six months as a Clerical Assistant 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
- Graduation from high school; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.
Additional Requirements:
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
