Job Description

Building control panels to be use as "trainer equipment" for instructors. Panels will be built onsite within small facility and shipped to various sites where they will be used as practice/training equipment for students for the duration of their class/lessons. Candidates will be asked to build control panels, log inventory in/out of logistics system, assist with crate building for shipment and overall shop clean up. No degree or Certifications required

Responsibilities:



  • Mechanical assembly of control panels
  • Point to point wiring of relays, controls, PLCs, I/O Modules, VFDs, Interfaces, & Instrumentation
  • Perform troubleshooting, fault analysis and/or repair of industrial control circuits, safety circuits and interlocks, hardwire relay logic, DC power supplies and logic circuits, motor control circuits, motor power circuits 24VDC to 480VAC, PLC and logic controller input and output circuits
  • Perform troubleshooting, fault analysis and/or repair of pneumatic and hydraulic systems
  • Dimension and layout of back panels and enclosures
  • Install cord grips, hardware and flexible conduit to interconnect enclosures
  • Mounting of components to back panels and enclosures
  • Perform panel testing under power
  • Maintain red line drawing mark-ups of changes required during fabrication
  • Communicate red line changes to Engineer or Team Leader for revision prior to completion
  • Organize and manage electrical schematics, shop materials, job inventory and tools to ensure that the panel shop portrays a professional image
  • Routing and bundling of wire and cables neatly to meet wiring standards
  • Identifying part numbers for electrical and mechanical components.
  • Sourcing electrical and mechanical components based on equipment requirements.
  • Assembly of mechanical and hydraulic components.
  • Maintain a safe and clean work area complying with all company safety policies including LOTO



Skills:



  • Must have mechanical / electrical aptitude
  • Knowledge of pumps, valves, hydraulics, and pneumatics is a plus
  • Basic Computer knowledge/skills
